BRT EXPANDS SUPER 2 PROGRAM

Blanchard Racing Team (BRT) is pleased to announce the expansion of its Super2 programme for the 2026 season, with Lochie Dalton joining the team and Bailey Sweeny returning following a strong 2025 campaign.

The expanded line-up reflects BRT’s ongoing commitment to driver development and strengthening progression pathways in Australian motorsport. Through continued investment in emerging talent and a structured, performance-focused environment, the team aims to support drivers as they progress through the Supercars ladder.

Dalton joins BRT after a standout 2025 Super2 season, finishing runner-up in the championship, securing the Pole Position Award, and claiming multiple race wins and a series lap record at Bathurst. Sweeny returns to the team after showcasing consistency and strong results across his rookie Super2 campaign.

Tim Blanchard, Team Principal and co-owner of Blanchard Racing Team
“Expanding our Super2 programme is an important step for us and for the broader driver pathway in Australian motorsport. It’s about creating opportunity and providing the right environment for young drivers to develop.

“Lochie’s results through the 2025 season showed real pace and talent, while Bailey’s progress in his rookie year laid a strong foundation to build from. Our focus is on development and performance, and on giving drivers the tools they need to take that next step toward Supercars.”

“I didn’t want to come back just to make up the numbers. There’s definitely some unfinished business for me, and I’m coming in with that clear focus. The team has shown they’re building something strong, and I feel like this is the right place for me to push for the championship again.”

“We built a good foundation last season and I learnt a lot, so I’m ready to come back and see what we can achieve. Continuing with the team gives me real confidence heading into the new year, and I’m looking forward to having Lochie alongside me as both a teammate and a benchmark.”
