Blanchard Racing Team is proud to announce the signing of one of Australia’s brightest young Supercars talents, Zak Best, as the co-driver of the No. 3 CoolDrive Racing Supercar for the endurance rounds at Tailem Bend and the Bathurst 1000 in 2025. At only 23 years of age, Best steps into this opportunity with a wealth of experience and impressive achievements under his belt.
Best, who will partner with Aaron Cameron, brings not only remarkable skill but a proven record in high-pressure situations. In the Super2 series, Best has amassed 3 wins and achieved runner-up in the championships from 2021 through 2023. In 2022 at Tailem Bend, Best made headlines as the youngest-ever and first Supercars Championship wildcard to claim pole position, finishing an incredible 5th in only his second-ever main game outing. A year later, he solidified his presence in the main game by finishing 6th at Bathurst 1000, partnering with James Courtney.
“I am beyond excited to join BRT and partner with Aaron Cameron for the 2025 endurance rounds,” says Best.
“I'm grateful for the opportunity to prove myself in main game Supercars and am committed to delivering my best performance,”
“I can’t wait to get behind the wheel and show what we can achieve as a team.”
Tim Blanchard, Team Principal, expressed his enthusiasm about Best's joining.
“BRT is pleased to welcome Zak to our team,” says Blanchard.
“We rate Zak highly as a driver and his impressive track record speaks volumes,”
“Zak's dedication, skill, and passion for racing are exactly what we look for in our drivers, and we are eager to see him in action alongside Aaron in the CoolDrive Racing Mustang.”
Kate Harrington, Team Manager of BRT, also shared her thoughts:
“Zak has worked previously with many of the BRT crew, and we are well aware of his capabilities and potential as a driver,” says Harrington.
“It's an exciting time for the team, and we’re all looking forward to seeing him and Aaron work together as a young and dynamic pairing.”
The 2025 Supercars endurance season is set to kick off with The Bend Enduro from September 12 to 14, and will conclude with the iconic Bathurst 1000, scheduled from October 9 to 12.
